When you add a photo to a memory, the right date is not always today. Often, the photo was taken earlier: during a trip, a night out, a walk, or a moment you want to place exactly where it belongs in your timeline.
Reminiscio can now read the photo capture date when it is available in the image data.
How it works
Most devices store technical information inside photos. This is called EXIF metadata. It can include the device model, capture settings, and most importantly the original date of the photo.
When you add a photo, Reminiscio now tries to detect that date automatically. If it finds one, it suggests it as the memory date.
You stay in control
The detected date is never forced. Before publishing, you can still:
- keep the photo date;
- choose another date;
- return to today's date.
If a photo does not contain a usable date, Reminiscio simply keeps the usual behavior.
Why it helps
This small improvement makes memory creation faster and more accurate. Import an older photo, and it can immediately land at the right point in your story.
Less manual setup, more memories in the right place.
