Some memories are tied to a very specific place: a bench in a park, a beach, a street, a viewpoint, or simply somewhere whose exact address you do not know.
To make this step feel more natural, Reminiscio now lets you choose a memory location directly on a map.
A new option in the Location step
When creating a memory, the Location step still keeps the existing options:
- search for a city, address or place;
- detect your current position;
- remove an already selected location.
A new action is now available alongside them: Choose on map.
Tap the map, then confirm
The map opens full screen so you have enough room to choose the right place. Tap the map to place the marker where you want it.
Reminiscio then tries to find the matching place or address name. If no name is available, the app keeps the coordinates as a fallback so the memory can still be placed.
Your current location still helps
If you are already there, the My location button quickly centers the map around your current position. You can then adjust the marker before confirming.
As with automatic location detection, this action asks for permission before using your device location.
More precise, not more complicated
This update is built for the cases where text search is not enough. You stay in control: choosing on the map is optional, and the location can still be changed or removed before publishing.
The goal remains the same: add a memory quickly, with just enough precision to find it again later.
