Capture 4-second video memories

Video memories are now in Reminiscio: record a 4-second portrait clip with sound, preview it, and keep it in your timeline.

A laugh, a gesture, changing light, or a few seconds of atmosphere can sometimes tell a moment better than a still image. Reminiscio now lets you create 4-second video memories directly from the mobile app.

The idea is intentionally simple: capture a short fragment as it happens, review it, then add it to your story with the same context as your other memories.

Four seconds to keep movement and sound

The new video format is not meant to replace the longer videos in your gallery. It is designed to preserve one precise instant: waves reaching the shore, candles being blown out, a train arriving, or a loved one's smile.

Each video memory lasts about four seconds and is recorded in portrait orientation. The short format helps you stay in the moment and gives your timeline fragments that are easy to revisit, with no editing or preparation required.

Record without leaving Reminiscio

In the Add a memory flow, choose Video — 4-second clips. Reminiscio opens its built-in recorder after requesting access to your camera and microphone.

Use the rear camera to capture the scene in front of you, or switch to the front camera to put yourself in the memory. Tap the record button: a progress bar follows the capture, which stops automatically after four seconds.

Reminiscio then prepares the clip and creates its poster image. The whole recording flow stays quick and contained within the memory you are creating.

Review before you publish

Your clip immediately appears in a portrait preview and plays on a loop. Sound starts muted; tap the preview to turn it on and check the atmosphere you recorded.

If the fragment is not right, choose Retake and record it again. You can also delete it and choose another kind of memory. Nothing is published until you continue through the creation flow.

Add the context that brings a memory back

Video keeps the movement, but context gives it a place in your story. Before saving, you can add:

  • a caption;
  • a place;
  • the memory's date;
  • a journey;
  • a theme;
  • private visibility or sharing with friends.

The fragment then joins your timeline. Its poster makes it easy to recognize at a glance, and a tap opens playback. Video memories also fit naturally on the map, inside journeys, and among moments shared with friends, depending on the visibility you choose.

A living memory, without the extra work

With 4-second clips, Reminiscio brings movement and sound to your journal without making capture feel heavy. There is no edit to prepare: open the app, record the instant, review it, and keep it where it happened.

The next time a moment deserves more than a photo, choose Video and let four seconds preserve its atmosphere.
